Digby Tigers U18 girls lost their home opener against West Hants 1-0.

The Tigers hosted West Hants at the DRHS field on Wednesday night, June 11.

The visitors scored in the first and hung on tight to the lead – the Tigers had great pressure in the second but couldn’t find the finishing touch.

The girls are now 0-2 to start the season; they lost their season opener against Kings West 5-0 on Sunday, June 9.

Their next league game isn’t until July 2 when they host Middleton at DRHS at 7 p.m.

The Tigers had to combine U18 and U16 players to get enough for the girls U18 team.

U18 boys from Digby are playing with Annapolis because they couldn’t find enough players to form an U18 boys team here.

The U16 boys are 1-1 after beating Kingston Greenwood 4-1 on June 4 and losing to Bridgetown 5-2 on June 10.

Their next league game is in Digby on the DRHS field on Tuesday, June 17 against West Hants at 7:15 p.m.
