Valley high school hockey players will team up for the annual league all star games, happening January 13 in Berwick.

The event is a fundraiser for the planned Apple Dome community facility, which would host high school hockey for many years to come once open.

For now, the Berwick Arena hosts Central Kings’ home games.

Sunday, January 13, beginning at 1:30 p.m., all Valley league players will call the arena home.

The girls’ action gets underway first, with the offiial puck drop starting the match between the East - Avon View (Ashley Aker, Jeslyn O’Leary, Andrea Lafleur, Aria MacEachern, Kayla Demont), Horton (Sarah Davidson, goalie; Breanne Graham, Victoria Mumford, Victoria Bishop, Victoria Duncan, Acadia Dunphy), North East King (Jenny Muggah, Alicia Kennedy, Jacey Hughes, Meaghan Gould, Michelle Trenholm, Brittany Moore), and half of Park View’s selected players (Kelsey Getson, Courtney Whynot, Amanda Arab) - against the West - Central Kings Central Kings (Cailyn Byers, Danielle Bennicke, Megan Lamb, Mallory Palmer, Trissa Dunham), Middleton (Stefanie Banks, Tabby Bent, Carly Gillis, Magen Hugdins, Josie Perrot, goalie), West Kings (Kailey Bower, Hilary Rawding, Amanda Martin, goalie; Lauren MacAskill, Emily Gorman), and Park View’s other players (Moira Frier, Katelyn Pierce, Rachael McIntosh). The East’s coaches are Mark Benedict (Avon View) and North East Kings’ Darren Gould. The West will be led by coaches Sherry Ritcey (Park View) and Greg Gillis (Middleton).

The boys hit the ice for a 3 p.m. official puck drop. The East includes players from Avon View (forwards Greg Burgess, Jake Galbraith, Mark Blanchard; defenseman Dan Maclean and goalie Alex Lawrence), Horton (defensemen John Wagstaff, Robert Newcombe, Justin Wade; forwards Justin Schofield - and the injured Bob Selby; and goalie Matt Jenner), Northeast Kings (forwards Kris Bigelow, Keegan Wood and Reggie Rand; defensemen Josh Porter and Isaac Ueffing) and half of West Kings’ selected players (Scott Milligan and Patrick Samms, forwards). The West takes up players from Middleton (forwards Eric banks, Garret Tompkins and Jesse Bent; defensemen Andrew Bent, Kyle Ervin and goalie Spencer Aldred), Central Kings (forwards Mitchell Stevens, Zack Morse and Andrew Fraser; goalie Charles Grant and defenseman Luke Lewis), Bridgetown (forwards geoff Burke, dennis Frost and Jeremy bent; defenseman Robbie Smith) and the remaining West Kings players (defenseman Justin Clarke and forward/ defenseman Zach D’entremont).

Admission is $4, which gets you both games and supports a community cause.
