Bruce Inglis, president of the Liverpool Privateers, says the organization is weighing its options, which may include an appeal to Hockey Canada. No solid decisions have been made yet.

"I think everyone is a bit disappointed because Justin is a good guy and we don't believe he deserves that fate," Inglis said.

The suspensions were a result of a Dec. 19 game against the East Hants Penguins. The Liverpool team says it believed the game was called early due to not enough players on the ice; however, the game sheet did not reflect this.

Goalie Maxxim Feener and assistant coach Jonathan Boone were suspended for five games after the incident. Head coach Justin Boone was placed on indefinite suspension.

With the head coach suspended for the rest of the season, coaching duties will fall on assistant coaches Ryan Seaward and Keith Hicks, as well as the general manager, Dave Bennett, Inglis said.

Inglis added that he believes the team will persevere and said the players and coaching staff hope to get back on track for the rest of the season.

"We'll weigh it out and see what we can do," he says.
