Creighton Nova Scotia's junior golfer of the year

DIGBY - Myles Creighton of Digby has won his fourth Junior Player of the Year award from the Nova Scotia Golf Association.

The awards were announced today in Halifax.

Creighton, who plays out of the Ashburn Golf and Country Club in Halifax, completed his impressive junior career in style this past season. He dominated the field at the Junior Championship in July where he won easily by a total of 16 strokes.

He then went on to win Future Links Atlantics, Maple Leaf Junior Tour at Paragon, CJGA Oakfield, and finished third at the Subway and Brightwood Invitationals. He also tied for 22nd at the Canadian Junior championship.

He now is at Radford University in Virginia where he plays on the golf team.

Ashburn's Glenn Robinson to win the men's Player of the Year award, while Ruth Maxwell of the Oakfield club was named women's Player of the Year.

Player of the Year awards will handed out during the NSGA annual general meeting on Sunday, Oct 26, at the Glen Arbour Golf Club in Halifax.
