The Kentville pair, who’ve been playing four and two years respectively, enjoy all aspects of the game.

They were players on some of the more than 11 teams that took part in the third annual invitational Wildcats baseball tournament on July 4.

The event was also part of a town baseball day, according to organizer Don Mailman.

Mailman’s son, Emmitt -  who plays on the Kentville Mosquito AA team -  likes baseball because it’s fun.

Peewee players C.J. Martin of Margaretsville and Jarrett Phinney of Coldbrook both grew up with Dads who play the game. C.J. says his father Charlie inspired him, while Jared noted, “my father always played.”
