RCMP investigating sudden death in Charleston

At approximately 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, the Queens District RCMP were called to the scene of a sudden death on the Joe Anthony Road in Charleston, Queens County.

Upon arrival it was determined that a 23-year-old Queens County man had been working underneath a box truck which had been jacked up when the truck shifted and landed on the man.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Queens District RCMP were assisted at the scene by Liverpool EHS Paramedics and the Charleston Fire Department. The ongoing investigation will also include the Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Division.

The name of the deceased is being held pending notification of the next of kin.
