The Friends of Agriculture in Nova Scotia (FANS) has held April Flavours Tasting Feasts in Wolfville for the past four years, but this year, the group is encouraging everyone to taste April flavours across the province.
On April 28, says Linda Best, they’re encouraging Nova Scotians to eat at home or dine out and enjoy the fine foods and beverages available in the spring.
“See the Farmers' Market list of what's available this time of year and look for these and other delicious foods wherever you shop. Invite friends to join you,” Best suggested.
FANS has a Shift to Delicious Facebook page with recipes, ideas and suggestions, she added.
April Flavours is about the Nova Scotian foods and beverages available in April and, Best added, throughout the seasons.
She said FANS decided not to organize a dinner this April because the group is “very busy working with loan applicants to do a big event well this spring.”
They also want to engage people right across the province.
“We are planning an October Flavours dinner and there will be more information about that soon,” she added.
