Sherwood Nickerson — Yarmouth

Sherwood Nickerson
NICKERSON, Sherwood Eric- age 62 of Yarmouth, passed away on February 24, 2018 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on December 9, 1955 he was a son of the late Frank and Harriette “Alma” Nickerson. Sherwood was a fisherman for most of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish in his earlier years. He spent lots of time on Deep Cove, Tusket Islands growing up there as well as spending lots of his adult years there as well with his family. In recent years Sherwood enjoyed spending time with his grandson Lyndon. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Nickerson (Stewart Newell), Yarmouth; son, Alex (Denise) Nickerson, Edmonton, Alberta; brothers, Randy and Garth (Rochelle) Nickerson, both of Yarmouth; Jack Nickerson, Edmonton; John McNeil (Arlene) South Ohio; sister, Pamela Nickerson, Brooklyn; Betty Nickerson of Toronto, Beverly Fahie (Mike); grandchildren, Lyndon, Jase, Elizabeth, and Tyson; as well and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Sherwood was predeceased by his brother, Paul Nickerson. A memorial service was held Friday March 2, 2018 at 2 P.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment followed in Arcadia Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
