Ken Myers

A memorial service and burial for the late James Kenneth ‘Ken’ Myers, 62, Taylor, British Columbia, will be held in Canso, Guysborough County, at a later date. Mr. Myers died June 18, 2018. Born and raised in Canso, he was a son of the late Kingston and Leona Myers. He moved to British Columbia, where he managed a gas station in Nanaimo, owned a hotel/restaurant/bar in Alert Bay and, most recently, managed a Best Western Chateau Plus in Fort St. John. He was a dedicated worker and well respected by his staff. He enjoyed country music, wood working, camping and the ocean. He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Cook) Myers; five children, Gilbert Myers, Angex (Shadow) Artistx, Crystal (Dennis) Norman, Brandon Myers, Spencer Myers; 10 grandchildren; five brothers, Vince, Harry, John, Brian, Joe; four sisters, Mary, Lorraine, Tracey, Carol; many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
