Kathryn ‘Kathy’ Adelaide Tompkins

Kathryn ‘Kathy’ Adelaide Tompkins (nee Barrie), 60, of Millville, passed away peacefully with family by her side, February 6, 2018 in Sudbury, Ontario. She was born August 11, 1957 in North Sydney to parents David Henry and Theresa Marie Barrie. She is survived by her loving husband, Martin; both of her parents; siblings, Doreen (Cameron Buffett), Beth Barrie (Walter Serroul), Steve Barrie and Wayne Barrie; daughters, Shannon Barrie (Ben Goodyer), Ainsle Crocker (Carmen Beers) and Jessica Lawrence; seven grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews. Kathy's greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She was always well loved by children and was entertained and engaged with them. Children of all ages were drawn to her, and she drew great pleasure from spending time with them. She also enjoyed playing darts, playing cards, and visiting with friends and family. Memorial Service to take place Saturday, February 17, 11 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Sydney Mines.
