KENTVILLE – The Valley Regional Entreprise Network (REN) has a new chief executive officer.
Deborah Dennis, originally from Toronto, comes to the REN after spending more than 25 years honing her skills in international business and marketing communications. Her work spanned five continents, leading to a broad skillset built on experience in a variety of sectors: agriculture, automotive, packaged goods, electronics, financial services, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, insurance, IT, retail and recreation.
“Deborah established a strong career start in the Canadian advertising agency industry before relocating to Europe, where she initially headed up the Budapest office of global advertising agency Euro-RSCG and later served as VP Regional Director at their headquarters in Paris,” reads a press release issued by the REN March 28.
“A subsequent relocation to Germany saw her begin a 16-year strategic planning career with Ogilvy, the world’s leading communications network, most recently serving as Global Planning Director out of their New York and Frankfurt offices.
Dennis first visited Nova Scotia four years ago, and was keen to return to the province to put her skillset to good use.

Dennis, who lives in Kentville, started with the REN March 22.
