Hants West MLA wants feasibility study conducted for new arena
WINDSOR, N.S. - Hants West MLA Chuck Porter is calling upon municipal leaders to conduct a feasibility study before moving forward on the Hockey Heritage Centre.

KENTVILLE, NS - A Kentville man facing several sexual assault and sexual touching charges involving an underage girl will be sentenced in June after changing his pleas to guilty on charges of fondling and failing to comply with probation.
James Clayton Dicks, 22, changed his pleas to guilty on the two charges on April 19. The matters have been adjourned to June 28 for sentencing and disposition on 20 remaining charges.
The remaining 20 charges include four counts of sexual assault, three more counts of touching a girl under age 16 for a sexual purpose by removing her clothes and fondling her, assault causing bodily harm, assault, three counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm and eight more counts of failing to comply with probation. These charges have not been proven in court.
Dicks committed the fondling and probation offences in North Kentville between March 12 and April 28, 2016. A publication ban protects the identity of the victim.
