Middleton man faces child porn charges

RCMP say a 40-year-old fisherman was killed when an anchor struck him in the head on Georges Bank on Sunday night.

Annapolis County RCMP say they have arrested and charged a Middleton man after a child pornography charges.

 Forty-year-old Darryl Knott was arrested Aug. 19 following a June 20 search of a Middleton residence. RCMP say that a search warrant was obtained based on information supplied to police. After the warrant was executed, police seized a cellphone and two computers.

Knott is charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography. He was released on conditions and is set to appear in Annapolis Provincial Court Oct. 6. Knott has not entered a plea to the charges.
