Kings District RCMP receive a plethora of fraud complaints

Windsor RCMP are seeking the public's help in solving this case.

On Aug. 18 a county resident reported losing $300 to fraudsters on Kijiji over the alleged purchase of a plane ticket.

A local bank advised a woman to report a fraudulent mystery-shopping caper.

A Wolfville resident reported the possible loss of $8,000 in a credit card fraud that occurred elsewhere.

A man called police from Kingston on Aug. 20 to question a store offering free ice cream in exchange scanning an individuals’ drivers licence.

The advice offered by community policing officer Const. Blair MacMurtery is not to offer personal information in exchange for anything.
