It was one last chance to enjoy the angelic sounds of the Annapolis Valley Honour Choir. The junior and senior choirs are performing their final spring concerts at the Kentville Baptist Church on May 24.

Under the leadership of artistic director and conductor Heather Fraser, Anna-Maria Galante-Ward accompanied the junior choir on piano while Krissy Keech accompanied the senior choir during the ‘Forever Is Our Song!’ concert at 3 p.m. The concert concluded with a couple numbers from the massed choirs.

If you missed the afternoon performance, the senior choir will take to the stage once again at 7 p.m.

Both choirs have approximately 60 performers, with the junior group comprised of children in grades 5 through 8 and the senior group made up of students in Grades 8 to 12.

President Krista Laing said the choir has enjoyed “a really successful year” and “we couldn’t be more proud.”

The choir is holding auditions from June 2 to 6. Interested students can ask their music teacher for details or visit The junior choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings and the senior choir on Tuesday evenings.
