Two flu clinics for high-risk groups
Flu shot clinics for priority, high risk groups will be held Monday at the Digby Curling Centre and tomorrow, Nov. 5, in the Saulnierville Legion.

Both clinics will be open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., and South West Health says there is enough vaccine for these groups and it will not be necessary to start lining up before the clinic opens.

The priority groups are:

• Pregnant women and women up to 4 weeks postpartum

• Children aged 6 months to 59 months

• People living in First Nations communities

• Health care workers in hospitals, long-term care facilities and home-care agencies who provide direct, hands on, care to patients. This includes family physicians, family practice nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

South West Health is working with its community partners to immunize this latter group.

Additional clinics are expected as vaccine becomes available.

People attending clinics are reminded to bring their health cards.
