There will be a New Year’s Eve get-together and dance at Le Club Acadien in SAR on Wednesday, Dec. 31, from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. DJ Kenney; $5 a couple. Info: 902-648-2203.

at the Greenville Community Centre

There will be a New Year’s dance at the South Ohio Community Centre on Dec. 31 from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., $12 a person. For tickets telephone: 902-742-2877.

There will be New Year’s Eve dance at the Surette’s Island Club from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Music by George and Marilyn Martinelli. $12 a person or $20 a couple.

New Year’s Eve party

The Boys and Girls Club is throwing a New Year’s Eve party, 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the cotton mill building on Water Street that will feature a casino type atmosphere, dancing with DJ Rob, 20 tables of gaming, balloon drop, prizes and a live auction. Tickets for the "Monte Carlo" can be purchased at the Boys and Girls Club of Yarmouth at 11 Bond St., City Drug Store or at the Cotton Mill Community Center. Prices are $25 a person or $45 a couple. Skating registration

The Yarmouth Skating Club is taking registrations for adult power skating and adult learn to figure skate classes beginning in the new year.

ELF program

Jan. 9

The ELF (Everbody Loves Friday) program will take place at the Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church on Friday, Jan. 9, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for children ages 4-12. Snacks, games and crafts. Parents invited to register for stamp it up scrapbook sessions (902-742-1613).

Quilt seminar

Hall of fame hours change
