Questions about Lambert settlement
Letter to The Annapolis County Spectator
Dear Editor:
As I read the article ‘Lambert firing rescinded, three comments come to mind.
1 - I find it interesting that most of the citizens of Middleton did not hear about this settlement till after we had voted in the recent municipal election.
2 - Did the town solicitor not advise the council before they fired Ms. Lambert? Surely that is a part of his job description -- to ensure that these matters are dealt with properly and legally.
3 - As the editorial in The Spectator said very well -- the taxpayers and citizens of this town have a right to know what this fiasco has cost us. The phrase ‘solicitor-client privilege’ may be appropriate for details of a personal nature, but not the money aspect which affects all of us.
I wish I could have voted six times for Councillor Marc Britney as only he stood up for the interests of the taxpayers of this town
Yours Truly
Joan Bryant
