A Middleton woman has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the death of a man in a traffic accident in Welton’s Corner last November.
Lesley Anne McClure, 26, pleaded guilty in Kentville provincial court Wednesday, Oct. 8 to dangerous driving during an attempt to evade police, thereby resulting in the death of a person, and to refusing to provide a breath sample for blood-alcohol analysis.
McClure had previously pleaded not guilty to the charges and was to stand trial on them Oct. 8.
Judge Alan Tufts ordered McClure to return to court for sentencing Dec. 4, pending a pre-sentence report.
The court dismissed a number of related criminal charges. The disposition of a number of Nova Scotia Motor Vehicles Act charges will be made at the Dec. 4 hearing.
McClure committed the offenses at Welton’s Corner Nov. 9.
