Legion

September 4-29 Come to Clementsport Legion in the evenings. Mondays at 7 p.m. for cards, bridge & 45's, Tues. for Bingo - start 7:15 p.m., Wed. at 7:30 p.m. for Cribbage, Thurs. at 7:30 p.m, for cards, bridge and pool, and Fridays at 5:45 p.m. for a barbecue.

Chinese auction

September 11 At the Nictaux Fire Hall with proceeds for the Nictaux Hospital Auxiliary. Opens at 12, noon with drawing at 7:30 p.m. Also bake table and 50/50 draw.

Middleton Farmers' Market

September 12 Market held every Friday from 2 to 6 PM on Commercial St in Middleton (across from Town Hall). Produce, meats, breads, goodies, crafts - all from the Valley. Musical entertainment. Support Local.

Variety Show

September 12 Country Music Variety Show, West Paradise Hall, September 12 at 7:30 p.m. Features Bauchmans, Harold Hunt, Carrol Edwards. Proceeds for West Paradise Hall.

Band fundraiser

Big band

September 14 “Swing into Autumn” with the Annapolis Big Band on the grounds of Hillsdale House Inn from 2-4 p.m. Bring your picnic basket, chairs and blanket. Admission is a donation for the Annapolis Royal Wharf project. Available is a Sangria and Beer cash bar. This is a fair weather event.

Terry Fox Run/Walk

4-H Registration

September 15 The Sea Breeze 4-H Club will be holding an Open House and registration night Monday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Melvern Square Communicty Centre. You will be able to see members’ projects, talk to the leaders and members, and register for 4-H. Age: 9-21 (Cloverbuds 7-8 years). Catchment area: all over Annapolis and Kings counties. Come join in the fun. Registration cost for the year is only $15. Some of the Projects available are: Photography, Outdoorsman, Cake Decorating, Woodworking, Heritage, Sewing, Foods, Crafts, Beef, Horse, Rabbit, Poulty, etc.

Poster Contest

September 15 The deadline for the poster contest sponsored by the Bridgetown and Area Friends of the Library to celebrate National Library Month in October. Funds for Fuel Bridge

Tent Dwellers Outdoor Arts Festival

September 17-24 along the Kejimkujik Drive (Liverpool, Caledonia, Kejimkujik, Milford) This celebration of the wilderness will involve music, theatre, painting and writing. Workshops will provide hands-on experience with artists and exhibits will showcase historical and contemporary photography and painting.
