Fireworks in Quinan Friday
Fireworks have been added to the list of activities commemorating the 125th anniversary of the first Quinan picnic.
The fireworks are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 29, at 9 p.m. in the old Quinan ball field.
The event is sponsored by Democracy 250.
The Quinan picnic will be held Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Quinan Club starting at 1 p.m.
There will be ox haul, games,rose table, bingo, canteen, crafts and rides.
There will be a turkey supper (admission: adults $10, children $5.
A dance will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Music by DJ Rob. Tickets $10 per person.
