Teens caught with drugs behind Astor Theatre

Queens RCMP officers spotted five Lunenburg County teenagers behind the Astor Theatre and arrested them for smoking marijuana.

On June 18, around 8:45 p.m. the five males aged 17 to 19 were sitting in their car.

Queens RCMP constable, Grant Webber said police found beer along with 12.5 grams of magic mushrooms otherwise known as Psilocybin.

A 19-year-old male from Bridgewater was the only person charged.

He was charged with trafficking in Psilocybin and possession of a prohibited weapon.

He will appear in court Sept. 2.

Liquor charges are pending.
