A Balkan evening
Musician Ken Shorley and geologist Rob Raeside will introduce listeners to the geography and musical culture of the Eastern Balkans – Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria.
Eastern Europe has an early Christian legacy of awe-inspiring architecture and art. It is a region as yet undiscovered by travelers, but an international tourist association recently predicted, in 10 years, this will be one of the world’s top three tourist sites.
In September, two Wolfville clergymen, Rev. Bob Wallace and Rev. Barry Morrison, and their wives will be leading a 16-day tour of the area. They will begin and end in Budapest and cross Serbia for a fascinating exploration of Bulgaria and Romania.
