Open house offers behind-the-scenes look at Valley Waste Resource Management
There’s no doubt the term “dump” is quite antiquated when it comes to Valley Waste Resource Management (VWRM). VWRM held its third-annual open house at the Eastern Management Centre in the Kentville Industrial Park on Sunday, June 1. There was a free barbecue and horse-drawn wagon tours of the facility provided by Daniel’s North Fork Ranch Sleigh and Wagon Rides. VWRM Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) coordinator Bonnie Clemens served as tour guide and Scotia Recycling supervisor Trevor Morine gave participants a look behind the scenes at their new facility. Kids had an opportunity to sit in the big trucks and have their pictures taken. Reporter Kirk Starratt was on hand and files the following video package…
