Charges laid in assault case
Colby King, 24, of Yarmouth has been charged with assault with a weapon ( baseball bat ) and aggravated assault in connection with an assault that took place on Bond Street in Yarmouth’s south end.
King was remanded over the long weekend for a show cause hearing in Yarmouth Provincial Court . King was released from custody on Tuesday and is scheduled to return to Provincial Court on June 17.
Two males 23 and 24 were released from police custody for Provincial Court on July 8. Police did not release their names.
On Thursday, May 15 at 11:40 p.m. RCMP Yarmouth Town Detachment responded to a 911 call of an assault that had taken place on Bond Street. Officers located a 24-year-old male in a apartment building who had been badly beaten and required medical attention . EHS attended and transported the victim to hospital.
The victim who received injuries to his skull / face , has been released from the hospital and returned to his residence in Hants County.
