Pereau beset by gas thefts
The farming community of Pereau was targeted four times in three days recently by gas thieves.
A bulk storage tank was siphoned over night May 2. The following day, a generator was stolen from behind a garage.
More thefts of gas were reported at 3:50 p.m. Gas was siphoned from farm equipment and stolen from a shed.
Police were notified about the fourth incident May 4 after 50 gallons of gas was discovered stolen from a tank on the North Medford Road.

There were 247 reports made to the Kings RCMP between May 1 and May 8.
A driver in Greenwood left an envelope with money in it in an unlocked vehicle while in a store on Central Avenue May 1 and it was stolen.
A grader used at Lockhart-Ryan Park in New Minas was damaged by vandals.
Thieves cut a fence to steal copper wire at a Nova Scotia Power Corp. site in Canaan.
