New Minas firefighters on scene of structure fire in mobile home park

New Minas firefighters are on the scene of a structure fire in a mobile home park behind the Movie Gallery location, just west of the Kent Co-op, off Commercial Street. There is no official word on the fire at this time but heavy smoke was billowing from the mobile home as firefighters arrived on the scene around 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and other local fire departments, including Kentville and Greenwich, have responded in mutual aid. Firefighters closed Commercial Street to traffic between the eastern access to the County Fair mall and Evangeline Middle School. Update to come as soon as official information becomes available…
