YMCA Travel & Leisure auction this Saturday, May 3

Auction lots include such items as return tickets for two on Via Rail from Halifax to Toronto, a new “Old Town” canoe, hotel accommodations in Toronto. Halifax and throughout the Maritimes, certificates for furnace oil, restaurant vouchers, golf green fees, and paintings from various artists.

“This is a fun, social event with something for everyone.” said, executive director. Barrie MacGregor. “We have continued to have great support, with donations from local businesses and travel donations from those in the industry.”

Also included on the auction block is a sightseeing flight over Yarmouth, Hitachi band saw, a certificate for a motorcycle training course and a t-shirt signed by Christopher Higgins of the Montreal Canadiens.

The evening begins at 6:30 pm with a preview of the items, with the auction beginning at 7:30 pm. Tickets are on sale at the YMCA or can be purchased the evening at the auction. The price is $10 per person or $15 per couple. Every ticket includes hors d’oeuvres, supplied by M&M Meat Shops and two drink tickets.
