Wolfville mother killed near Windsor
A 34-year-old mother from Wolfville died April 5 after her car left Highway 14 near Lower Vaughan, Hants Co.

Sandy Diane Baxter was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:34 p.m. Her two young daughters, also in the Honda Civic, survived.

A driver who had passed the Baxter vehicle told police he watched in his rearview mirror as the car went off the road, hit some large rocks at the end of a driveway and rolled over. The Baxter vehicle was heading toward Windsor when it left the road.

Passersby released the three-year-old and 11-month-old, who were hanging upside down in their car seats. They were taken to Windsor hospital and later released to their father.

RCMP Traffic Services is investigating. Weather and road conditions were good at the time.
