This was the scene recently at Saulnier’s Home Hardware as Greg Deveau tried out his new scooter. Those on hand included Curtis Saulnier, owner of Saulnier’s Home Hardware Building Centre; Richie Hubbard and Art Robichaud, members of the Knights of Columbus fundraising project; and Philippe Doucet, grand knight, Knights of Columbus Council 2181.

Event Saturday at Red Knight for scooter fundraising project
As part of a community effort spearheaded by Knights of Columbus Council 2181 that has helped provide a Yarmouth resident with a transportation scooter, a fundraiser/auction is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, at the Red Knight.
Set to be held from noon to 7 p.m., the event will include a seafood chowder sale (eat-in or takeout) at a cost of $5 per serving.
Music will be provided by Hop, a band from Halifax, from 2:30 to 5:30.
Donations will be accepted at the door.
Local resident Greg Deveau received his scooter recently at Saulnier’s Home Hardware, one of the major supporters of the fundraising effort.
Organizers say they appreciate everyone’s help and Deveau has expressed his thanks as well.
