Mariners win series 4-1, will face Truro or Pictou
The (1)Yarmouth Mariners (4-1) edged the (4)Amherst Ramblers (4-4) 4-3 Sunday night in Yarmouth in Game # 5 of their Bent Division Semi-Final # 1 Series.

With the win, the Mariners win the best of 7 series 4-1 and advance to the Bent Division Final against the winner of the Truro/Pictou County series. The Crushers currently lead that series 3-2. The Mariners will have home ice advantage for that series.

Justin Saulnier and Ryan Penney led the Mariners with 1 goal and 1 assist each.

Adam Chipman opened the scoring at 7:02 to give Amherst a 1-0 lead. Penney (powerplay) scored at 10:05 to tie the score 1-1. Andrew Oakley scored 2:00 later at 12:05 to regain the lead for the Ramblers at 2-1. Danny Anger (powerplay) scored at 19:04 to retie the score at 2-2 after the first period. Tyler Williams scored at 3:55 to give the Mariners a 3-2 lead until Jordan Escott scored 3:04 later at 6:59 to deadlock the game at 3-3 after the second period. Saulnier (powerplay, game winner) scored at 13:00 for the win.

Yarmouth went 3 for 6 on the powerplay while Amherst went 0 for 4.

Jocelyn Morrissette stopped 19 of 22 shots for the win while Andrew Flemming stopped 44 of 48 shots in the loss.

The Mariners will now face the winner of the Pictou-Truro series. Yarmouth finished the regular season 4-2 against Pictou and 3-3 against Truro.
