Regional science fair coming up March 26
School board seeking sponsors and donations
The Tri-County Regional Science and Technology Expo will take place Wednesday, March 26 at the NSCC Burridge Campus in Yarmouth.

The event will be open to the public from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The Tri-County Regional School Board is seeking financial sponsorships and donations, along with other forms of student prizes, for this event. Every year student interest in the event grows and this year the school board is expecting participation to double from that of last year.

Nine junior and senior high schools in Yarmouth, Digby and Shelburne counties are sending students from their school-based fairs to the Regional Expo.

Students will be judged in three divisions within their respective grade levels. The board says months of research and preparation by students has resulted in unique projects worthy of the public’s appreciation.

Over 40 judges from community groups, educational intuitions, businesses and other interested organizations are donating their time, skills, and knowledge to support these students.

Awards have been earned by each student to reach this stage and they will receive further recognition at the Regional Expo.

If you are interested in sponsoring or donating to the Tri-County Regional Science and Technology Expo, or if you would are interested in being a volunteer or judge, contact Gary Raymond at 749-5186 or by email at gary.raymond@tcrsb.ca.
