Identity of accident victim released
Man killed on Hwy 103 Thursday morning
The driver of the pickup truck that was killed after leaving Highway 103 near East Pubnico yesterday morning has been identified as 73-year-old William Anthony Brophy of South Side, Cape Sable Island, Shelburne County.
Brophy died at the scene after his vehicle lost control in the slippery roadway, entered the south ditch and flipped over landing on its wheels. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of his collision.
Western Traffic Services has completed their investigation and no charges will be laid. Alcohol was not a factor.
