WVMHA looking ahead to ‘08/ ‘09 season
Western Valley Hockey’s annual meeting will take place April 22 at the Kingston arena, 7 p.m.

At this time, there will be an election of new executive for the upcoming ‘08/ ‘09 hockey season. Anyone wishing to volunteer their time and who thinks they can help make our programs better should consider putting their name forward. Nominations will be accepted until April 13, and posted on the WVMHA website. All positions are open; positions that are vacant or will not have a returning incumbent include president, vice president, development co-ordinator, house league co-ordinator, IP/ Novice co-ordinator, and coach mentor positions. Unless these key positions are filled, the ‘08/ ‘09 season can not move ahead.

As of April 1, Western Valley will also be accepting coaching applications for the following teams in the AA and AAA programs: Atom, Peewee, Bantam, as well as the Midget AA, Peewee, Bantam and Midget girls; for the ‘08/ ’09 season. These teams are comprised of players from Digby to Berwick and represent the most skilled and dedicated hockey players in the association. In order to help these elite athletes develop their skills and grow as hockey players - and as young men and women, Western Valley is looking for coaches dedicated to the development of these young players. If you have the appropriate coaching qualifications, are dedicated to the development of elite hockey players and can help them take their skills to the next level, please take a moment and consider applying by May 15. Applications may be mailed to Box 1105, Greenwood, N.S., B0P 1N0; or emailed to registrar@westernvalleymha.com.
