Soaking up the sun thanks to Bridgetown fundraiser
Ellen Hall and Melanie Daniels could soon be soaking up the rays in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic thanks to their decision to support the Bridgetown Business Society and its Holliday Draw Lottery.

Other trips to be won over the next 10 months include the Mayan Riviera, Varadero, Las Vegas, and a Caribbean Cruise.

“Wouldn’t it be nice if you were a winner,” asks Bronson Rafuse who is helping run and organize the lottery. “Tis’ the season when many Valley residents are dreaming of going south, or planning ahead for summer vacation.”

The Bridgetown Business Society lottery gives participants a chance to turn that dream into reality with more than $48,000.00 in trips and cash prizes to be won.

Rafuse said one trip and five cash prizes will be drawn for each and every month in 2008.

Already the lottery has given away two trips and thousands of dollars in prizes. Hall’s Dominican Republic trip, drawn for in January, is for seven nights and is worth $4,300. Also, in January, Robert Perry, Sharon Johnson, Bill and Lee’s Pizza, and Pam Grant won $144 each while Meghan Vallis won $300.

In February, Daniels won a Dominican trip for seven nights valued at $3,800. Winning $144 each were Shae Lynn Hicks, Jeff Bishop, Joan Messenger, and David Coates. Edson Hankinson won $300.

March’s trip is to Varadero, Cuba.

Tickets are entered each month, regardless of any previous win.

Trip winners who don’t want to fly south can cash it for 80 per cent of its stated value.

With a maximum of 500 tickets being sold time and supply are short.

Call Rafuse at 665-2915 for tickets and information. If you live outside Bridgetown purchasing your ticket can be done by mail.

The cost for the year? Twelve post dated cheques of $12 or one cheque for $144.00.

All proceeds will go to support various not for profit programs in and around Bridgetown. AGA#216838-07
