Between Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 and Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008 Windsor District RCMP responded to a total of 99 calls for service.
Members responded to eight false alarms and 11 misdialed 911 calls during this period. Folks are again reminded to be careful when using the telephone. It is against the law to have 911 programmed into your telephone.
RCMP is investigating two reports of assault, one complaint of uttering threats, seven reports of disturbing the peace and two incidents involving harassment.
Regarding property-related offences, police are looking into two reports of theft, one reported fraud, one report of break and enter, and four complaints of damage to property.
There were eight reported traffic collisions, 12 traffic-related complaints, and two reports of impaired driving.
People are encouraged to call in any illegal activity they see. It's beneficial for the investigator if you leave your name, but if you do not want to that's okay, too.
Turning to the CrimeStoppers report, Windsor District RCMP is investigating the following offences.
On Sunday, Jan. 20, between the hours of 12 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., a large picture-frame window was smashed at a local business on Gerrish Street in Windsor. The window was discovered broken by passersby, but no suspects were identified.
Between the dates of Monday Jan. 21 and Thursday, Jan. 24, a 2002 Red Pontiac Sunfire was stolen from a car dealership on King Street in Windsor. The vehicle was locked and the keys were not present.
