The Horton Griffins aren’t the only local basketball team that’s undefeated this season.

The Wolfville Falcons junior high boys’ team improved to 13-0 on the season in winning the second annual Mud Creek junior high basketball tournament Jan. 4-5 in Wolfville.

Led by Grade 9 student Josh Thomas, who averaged 34.5 points per game and was named tournament MVP, Wolfville went 3-0 in the round robin portion of the tournament before defeating Central Kings 62-53 in the final.

The Gators finished at 2-1, Centre 1-2 and Middleton 0-3.

Round robin scores were as follows:

Wolfville 57 Central Kings 44

Centre (Lunenburg Co.) 40 Middleton 26

Wolfville 68 Middleton 41

Central Kings 52 Centre 40

Wolfville 70 Centre 55

Central Kings 64 Middleton 59

Hopefully we're going to go undefeated the whole season. Sucks I injured my ankle again with ten seconds left in the semi-final, haha.
