Wolfville remains undefeated with tourney triumph

The Horton Griffins aren’t the only local basketball team that’s undefeated this season.
The Wolfville Falcons junior high boys’ team improved to 13-0 on the season in winning the second annual Mud Creek junior high basketball tournament Jan. 4-5 in Wolfville.
Led by Grade 9 student Josh Thomas, who averaged 34.5 points per game and was named tournament MVP, Wolfville went 3-0 in the round robin portion of the tournament before defeating Central Kings 62-53 in the final.
The Gators finished at 2-1, Centre 1-2 and Middleton 0-3.
