MLA wants Hattie Perry resolution adopted
MLA Sterling Belliveau wants the House of Assembly to congratulate Hattie Allen Perry of Barrington for being an example of the various kinds of work a person can do for their community.
In a letter recommending the resolution he referred to Hattie’s preservation of the community through 15 books she has written as an immeasurable contribution.
Included amongst Hattie’s achievements is recognition from the American Federation of Scientists for having provided the Rosetta Stone for the discovery of the sonic boom.
In 1982 she received the prestigious Certificate of Commendation from the American Association for State and Local History.
Belliveau will move the adoption of the resolution at a future date.
