The court has sentenced a St. Croix man to a term in a federal institution for a robbery he committed in Hants County late last month.
David Clarence Gray, 62, pleaded guilty to the charge in Windsor provincial court Tuesday, Dec. 4.
Judge Claudine MacDonald sentenced Gray to two years in a federal penitentiary and imposed a lifetime firearms prohibition on him. She also ordered the accused to provide a DNA sample for corrections officials to keep on record.
Gray committed the offense in Garland’s Crossing Nov. 28 when he robbed a person of a wallet. Gray had been in remand since Nov. 29.
