Liverpool Warriors sweep tournament
The Liverpool Regional High School (LRHS) Boys basketball team drove home from the Valley all smiles this past weekend. The boys participated in their first tournament of the year competing against three teams to bring home victory for their school.
The Warriors sweeped the tournament competing against a team who easily defeated LRHS in the Regionals last season.
Results of the weekend saw LRHS defeat Northeast Kings Education Centre on Friday evening 71-80. Tristan Fancy scored 38 points and 21 rebounds, while Jason Martin added 17 points and 10 boards. Justin Plummer netted 12 and grabbed 13 boards. The game was tied 66-66 resulting in overtime play.
On Saturday morning, LRHS competed against Annapolis West Educational Centre with a 71-66 victory. Again, Tristan Fancy chipped in 23 points and 17 boards, while Logan Williams added 17, three of which were three pointer Williams’ specials. Jason Martin scored 12 points with seven rebounds and Justin Plummer had seven points and 10 boards.
On Saturday afternoon, the Warriors defeated Lockeport Regional High School 78-76. Tristan Fancy earned the team 25 points with 23 rebounds while Logan Williams added 12 points. Jason Martin earned 17 baskets and Justin Plummer netted 11 points.

The Warriors will participate in a tournament hosted by Lockeport this weekend. The first home game will be seeing the Warriors face Park View at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 30. Admission for the game is $1 per student or adult.
