Schools damaged, vehicles stolen, and kids ride in trunk

On October 23 at 1:05 p.m. police received a complaint of property damage from the Bridgetown Regional Elementary School. This is the latest incident in a series of cases where vandals are targeting local schools.
Over the past few weeks, the Bridgetown High School and the Lawrencetown Consolidated School were damaged. In all cases a group of youth were seen late at night in a vehicle around the school property.
If anyone has any information about these incidents, please contact the Annapolis RCMP.
The RCMP responded to 98 calls for assistance during the week of October 22 through October 29. Among them were one motor vehicle accident; seven false alarms; four false 911s; and three domestic matters.
Following are highlights of these calls:
-- October 22 at 12:10 p.m. Police received a report of a break and enter at a residence in Spa Springs. The matter is under investigation.
-- October 22 at 12:06 p.m. Police were called to a single vehicle accident in Nictaux. No injuries were reported.
-- October 22 at 3:43 p.m. Police received a report that a vehicle had unsafely passed an ambulance on a double line along the Highway 1 near Clementsport.
-- October 22 at 5:01 p.m. Police received a complaint of fraud under $5,000 from Middleton.
-- October 22 at 5:32 p.m. Police received a complaint of threats uttered in Melvern Square.
-- October 22 at 6:12 p.m. Police received a report that a vehicle was speeding in the Youngs Cove area.
-- October 22 at 8:20 p.m. A Bridgetown resident reported an assault.
-- October 22 at 9:30 p.m. Police received a report that cattle were on the road in Clarence.
-- October 23 at 00:36 a.m. A Middleton resident reported receiving threats.
-- October 23 at 12:35 a.m. A Clarence West resident reported a complaint of trespassing.
-- October 23 at 3:41 p.m. Police received a complaint of mischief from Bridgetown after a vehicle was damaged.
-- October 23 at 4:56 p.m. Police received a report that two teenagers were sitting in the road near Middleton. The youth would get out of the way of traffic, but return to the middle of the road after the car passed.
-- October 24 at 00:35 a.m. Police were asked to do a well-being check on a Middleton senior.
-- October 24 at 2:04 a.m. Police responded to a LifeLine alert that was activated in Cornwallis.
-- October 24 at 8:55 a.m. Police received a report that the washrooms at Jubilee Park in Bridgetown had been broken in to.
-- October 24 at 9:02 a.m. Police received a report that the Bridgetown arena had been broken into. Some items were stolen and some property damage occurred during the incident.
-- October 24 at 9 a.m. Police received a complaint of trespassing in Lawrencetown.
-- October 24 at 4:42 p.m. Police received a report of an impaired driver in Granville Centre.
-- October 24 at 5:15 p.m. Police received a report of a dangerous driver in the Bear River area.
-- October 24 at 7:02 p.m. Police received a report of damage to a Bridgetown property after a building was spray-painted.
-- October 25 at 4:10 a.m. Police received a complaint of breech of peace in Middleton.
-- October 25 at 4:27 a.m. Police assisted EHS with a patient in Cornwallis Park.
-- October 25 at 10:19 a.m. A Wilmot resident reported a break and enter.
-- October 26 at 3:22 p.m. Police received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 1 near Paradise.
-- October 26 at 3:42 Police received a report that a motorist was driving around Wilmot with children in the trunk of a car. When the trunk closed on route, the driver stopped and opened the trunk door and continued on with the young children in the trunk.
-- October 27 at 3:51 a.m. Police charged a driver with driving under the influence of alcohol.
-- October 27 at 8:27 a.m. Police received a report of stolen gas from Clementsvale. Gas was stolen from machinery.
-- October 27 at 2:18 p.m. Police assisted the fire department in gaining entry into a residence in Meadowvale.
-- October 27 at 4:30 p.m. Police received a report of a possible impaired driver near Deep Brook. The driver was stopped by Digby RCMP and not found to be impaired.
-- October 27 at 6:07 p.m. Police received a report that an intoxicated male was walking up the side of the road at Allain's Creek. A patrol was made, the suspect was arrested, and is facing drug charges.
-- October 27 at 10:04 p.m. Police received a report that teenagers were throwing pumpkins. A patrol was made, the suspects were located and made to clean up the mess.
-- October 28 at 8:47 a.m. Police received a report that a truck had been stolen from Wilmot.
-- October 28 at 8:01 a.m. A Clementsport resident reported that a Mercury Topaz had been stolen.
-- October 28 at 9:34 a.m. A Lawrencetown resident reported that a 2003 Chevy Malibu had been stolen.
-- October 28 at 10:19 a.m. Police received a report that a cottage at Milbury Lake had been broken into.
-- October 28 at 12:56 Police received a report of a dangerous driver in Middleton.
-- October 28 at 1:31 p.m. Police received a report that an ATV and a dirt bike had been stolen from an outbuilding in deep Brook.
-- October 28 at 7:44 p.m. A bicycle was reported stolen from Melvern Square. It was later recovered.
