Kingston continued celebrating its 50th village anniversary by hosting an "overwhelmingly successful" Heritage House Tour October 13. To thank them for their part in hosting the tea and luncheon portion of the event, students at Pine Ridge Middle School band were rewarded with a cheque for $1,300. Muriel Craig, Kingston village commissioner and chairwoman of the anniversary committee, recently made the presentation to student Joanna Noseworthy, Sarah Keddy, PRMS music teacher; and student Patrick Englehart. The funds will assist the band as it prepares for its upcoming trip to Cape Breton.
