There were 184 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Oct. 4 and Oct. 9.
On Oct. 4, a Campbell Rd., north Kentville resident reported a crossbow left in a vehicle had been stolen.
A two-horsepower motor was stolen out of a unlocked shed in Auburn.
Two young men were stopped shoplifting Red Bull drinks in New Minas.
A Kakwa St., Cambridge resident reported that someone had gone through their house.
A South Bishop Rd., Coldbrook resident notified police that someone had entered the house and turned off all the fuses.
On Oct. 5 there was a report of identity fraud. Someone received a $500 bill for a residence in which this individual had never lived.
A mother called police about her landlord harassing her children at the school bus stop and calling them ‘welfare bums.’
A windshield was smashed on a vehicle parked on Prospect St. in New Minas.
At 7:15 p.m. a gas leak was reported from the ACA plant in New Minas. Two fire departments attended and one woman was removed by EHS. It is believed the leak may have been caused by a mixture of ammonia from bird droppings in the drainage with that of chlorine from cleaning products. The resultant chemical is noxious. The provincial department of labour is looking into the matter.
On Oct. 6 an impaired driver was stopped at 4:10 a.m. and arrested after driving on the wrong side of the road.
A red motorized golf cart was reported stolen from the golf course in Centreville.
A Kingston resident reported someone tenting at the duck pond. A driver in Coldbrook failed to pay for $57 worth of gas.
An impaired driver tried not to stop at a checkpoint in Auburn. Police arrested him anyway. Two windows were broken at Evangeline Middle School.
Young people were reported mooning people on Britney Dr. in Greenwood.
There were two incidents of mischief in Centreville, including egg-tossing and apple-throwing.
An extremely impaired driver was reported leaving a liquor establishment at 11:14 p.m. Police located him on Dakota Lane.
On Oct. 7, there were two complaints of loud parties on Linden Ave. in Wolfville.
The driver of a grey Lincoln failed to pay for gas in New Minas. Someone staying at the Wandlyn Inn in Coldbrook had their car stereo stolen.
A 1998 Plymouth van, used a cab, was stolen in New Minas. The keys were left inside.
Someone shot a marble through the garage window of a business in Auburn.
A residence on Baseline Rd. in Black Rock was broken into. Windows on a school bus parked on Jones Rd. in New Minas were broken.
A dump truck overturned in Lakeville. A Cambridge resident reported a case of Internet fraud originating in Nigeria.
A door was pried open and a How Ave., Greenwood residence entered.
On Oct. 8, a vandal broke windows with rocks at Cornwallis Chev-Olds in New Minas, but did not gain entry.
There were nine domestic incidents. They included: a 15-year-old daughter who assaulted a parent with a hair brush; a 15-year-old son arrested for assault; and a 13-year-old daughter who stole a parent’s bank card and spent $1,000.
There were two sudden deaths and one mental health call. There were 15 false business alarms, five false residential alarms and 17 false 911 calls.
