The Women’s Atlantic Bowling Championship brought women from PEI, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to Swansburg Lanes in Shelburne last week to compete for title of best bowlers.
Local ladies held their own in the competition with Pearl Hart of the Golden Girls team scoring a 306 the first day of the tournament and Sandra Stuart scoring 306 with the Last Chance team. Janet Dedrick held a score of 296.
The three bowlers made the overall top five heading into the weekend playoffs.
Hart also bowled in the money bowl, a cash prize competition where she took first place with a final game of 303.
Play was continuing on the weekend with finals games expected to wrap up on Sunday.
