As you all are aware the Nova Star will be docking in Yarmouth May 16 giving Nova Scotia access to 100 million New Englanders.

Mayor Pam Mood of Yarmouth is welcoming these tourists – travelers with an (All hands On Deck  theme) To my knowledge nothing is planned for Shelburne or Queens.

I would suggest the municipalities put out American flags to welcome these tourists. Local business could be encouraged to put out sandwich boards in front of their businesses etc. We still have time to get read of the graffiti downtown and do a tidy clean up. We want these people to be welcomed and they will come back & tell their friends and family.

Many businesses and families were ruined by the closure of that ferry.

Let’s all do our part in welcoming these folks.
