Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a car involved in a hit and run in Halifax.

Officers arrived at the 3300 block of Agricola Street at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, after a witness reported that a car had been struck by another vehicle and pushed one block down the street.

According to a release, police said damage to the car was “extensive,” but there were no injuries reported since there was no one in the car at the time.

Given the heavy damage to the second car, police said it’s likely that the suspect’s car, a “metallic-blue” four-door sedan, could not have travelled far from the scene.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016. Anonymous tips can also be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477.
