Stepping back in time in Yarmouth with reenactment

People in Yarmouth are able to step back in time by visiting Yarmouth Encampent 2014, which is set up on the grounds of Th'YARC on Parade Street.

The reenactment has drawn participants from throughout Nova Scotia and offers a glimpse of life dating back to the late 18th century and also World War Two.

The public is invited to visit the camp.

A schedule of events includes:

Saturday, Aug. 30:

1 p.m. Orders Group at Marquee.

2 p.m. The Affair of YARC Park begins

6 p.m. Supper provided by the Royal Fencible Americans

7:35 p.m. Start of Parade to Killam's Wharf on Water Street

8 p.m. Sunset firing (3 rounds) at Killam's Wharf

 

SUNDAY, AUG. 31:

7 a.m. Reveille

8 a.m. Breakfast

Noon - Lunch
