Drug charges result from execution of two search warrants in Wolfville

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has executed two search warrants in Wolfville under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has executed two separate search warrants in Wolfville, resulting in three people facing drug charges.

The unit executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a Pleasant Street residence on Aug. 27. Police seized marijuana plants at the scene. A 27-year-old Wolfville man was arrested at the residence and is facing a marijuana production charge.

The unit executed a second search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a Hillside Avenue apartment on Aug. 28. Police seized marijuana and drug trafficking paraphernalia at the scene. A 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

The man has been released and is facing a charge of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. A Wolfville woman is facing the same charge and is also charged with breeching a conditional sentence order.

The accused individuals will appear in Kentville provincial court.
