July 23

Theft of a battery charger that was hooked up to a car, was reported in Canning around 12:30 a.m.

A traffic complaint of road rage in Chipman Corner was reported at 9 a.m. It is under investigation.

A charge of fraud involving the transfer of funds through a bank was reported in Lake Paul. The matter is being investigated.

At 9:42 a.m., a driver was witnessed driving all over the road in South Alton.

Property damage from graffiti was reported to mail boxes in Canning.

A downed power line was reported in Greenwood shortly after noon.

A person hitchhiking with two children was reported on the 101 Highway near Kentville.

A dispute between neighbours and an assault erupted over dogs running loose at Sunken Lake.  

There was a neighbourhood dispute in North Kentville.

Theft of a taxi light was reported in North Kentville after a dispute over a taxi licensing issue.

Stolen money and property damage was reported at the scene of a break and enter in Aylesford at 3:30 p.m.

Shoplifting charges were laid at a Kingston grocery store against a 37-year-old female who left the store without paying for groceries.  She will appear in court Sept. 15.

A workplace accident occurred at 4:05 p.m. after a forklift fell off the back of a truck. There were no injuries.

Police are investigated threats made on Facebook in the Greenwood area about killing neighbourhood cats.

There was a confrontation between two men in Medford.

Reports that gunshots had been heard in New Minas were called in at 10:39 and 10:41 p.m. Police investigated, but found no evidence.

A garbage bag was thrown on a car in North Kentville.

 

July 24

At 1:22 a.m., a disturbance from yelling and a barking dog was reported in North Kentville.

A prowler was reported at an apartment in North Kentville at 3:30 a.m.

There was a noise complaint on Marsh Hawk Drive in Wolfville at 12:06 a.m.

A prowler was reported at 3:43 a.m. near a North Kentville apartment building.

Three female youth were reported by a business in New Minas for smashing a carton of paint balls.

Some medication was stolen from an apartment in Greenwood.

An irate male was making a disturbance at a bus stop in New Minas at 10:45 a.m.

Some nuisance phone calls were reported from Coldbrook.

A diamond ring was reported stolen from a New Minas store. It was found the next day.

A North Kentville resident had credit card information stolen during a break-in.

A shoplifting incident in New Minas is being investigated. Later, another case was reported from Wolfville and a 61-year-old man was banned from a store.

A fraud was perpetrated on a resident who lost $2,000 after a man claiming to be a lawyer representing a nephew in jail called.

A disqualified 23-year-old male driver was stopped in Kingston at 4:12 p.m. He did not have any registration or ownership papers.

Possible gunshots were reported north of Berwick at 9:47 p.m.

 

July 25

A suspended driver was stopped at a checkpoint in Greenwich. The 22-year-old male was intoxicated.

A loud party was reported on Winter Street in Wolfville.

A 29-year-old male was picked up on a national warrant in South Berwick.

Some threats were reported by an individual currently spending time in a federal prison.

A workplace injury was noted in Kingston.

An unwanted male was reported in North Kentville at 3 p.m.

Acadia University security staff reported two dogs in a vehicle on campus.

A case of inappropriate parenting was observed in a New Minas parking lot at 6:22 p.m. Child welfare authorities will be investigating.

A dog was reported in distress outside a New Minas restaurant.

Two men and a dog were observed trespassing at 8:26 p.m. in Berwick.

A 51-year-old inebriated man was reported asleep in a woodpile in South Alton at 10:43 p.m.
