July 16

There was a sudden death.

A youth group home incident took place.

There was a break-in at a home in New Minas.

A Wolfville resident reported a “bloody rooster” was crowing all the time.

A fraudulent telephone call about a purported secret buyer was reported.

Trespassing was noted in Greenwood.

Two wallets were lost during the day in Wolfville.

A car fire took place at 8:16 p.m. on Gaspereau Avenue in Wolfville.

A landlord/tenant issue arose over the dispersal of property.

A complaint came in from Wolfville about the theft of a car part.

July 17

A Facebook complaint was lodged.

Ten domestic issues arose. One was prompted by alcohol and another involved a love triangle. A 22-year-old male was arrested for assault and two counts of possession of illegal drugs. A 45-year-old woman was arrested for making threats.

At 9:22 a.m., there was two-vehicle crash in Kingston. There were no injuries, property damage only.

A motorist called in a driving complaint on the 101 Highway near Aylesford. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

A 15-year-old who was reported missing returned home.

A gas and go was reported at 11 a.m. in Kingston. An investigation is pending.

There was a traffic complaint called in about speeding vehicles in South Berwick. It is an ongoing issue.

No injuries were sustained in a two-car crash in Grafton.

At 12:29 p.m., police were alerted to a possible breach of a court order.

A liquor control concern was reported in North Alton.

A traffic complaint, in which a driver nearly hit a cyclist, was investigated in New Minas.

A citizen complaint led to a warning given to a driver who was using a handheld device while driving on the 101 Highway in the Kingston area.

A driving complaint was made in Wolfville at 1:15 p.m.

An overnight theft from an unlocked vehicle parked on Summer Street in Wolfville was reported at 2:09 p.m. Items stolen included sunglasses, GPS and a watch.

Police provided traffic control while a DOT crew cleaned up a tree that had fallen on highway #12 at Murphy Lake at 4:19 p.m.

An ongoing issue of email fraud was investigated by police.

Reports of a possible impaired driver in the Greenwood area were called into police at 5 p.m. and 6:42 p.m. The driver was not found.

At 7:35 p.m., an off-road vehicle complaint was called in from Canning.

A citizen called in a possible impaired driver in Lower Canard. No plate number was provided and police were unable to find the driver.

At 10 p.m., yelling and screaming was reported in New Minas.

An allegation of an assault in North Kentville was called in. It is being investigated.

July 18

Police were called to a disturbance in North Kentville shortly after midnight caused by a landlord/tenant dispute.

A suspicious person was reported hanging around a North Kentville apartment complex and parking lot at 1:41 a.m.

A driver was pulled over and fined $348.98 for speeding on the 101 Highway at 5:25 a.m.

A computer and cell phone were stolen from an unlocked Gaspereau Avenue residence in Wolfville.  

A hit and run on a vehicle in a North Kentville parking lot was reported shortly after 11 a.m. The driver was located, the investigation was concluded.

Shoplifting at the NSLC in Wolfville was reported.

A break and enter at a residence in Kingston was reported at noon. Loose change and a camera were taken.

A threats complaint was investigated.

A female driver was ticketed for driving with a suspended licence after police were called to the scene of  a single-vehicle crash on highway 358 in Port Williams just before 12:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Police issued a warning to a driver in Greenwood after a dog was left in a vehicle in hot weather conditions.

A call about a theft of change from an unlocked vehicle was made in New Minas.

Police conducted a patrol after two off-road dirt bikes were reported on the road in North Kentville.

A leather handbag was stolen from a parked vehicle.

At 5:21 p.m, an unwanted, intoxicated male was reported at a Wolfville drinking establishment. The 52-year-old was taken into custody and held on a charge of mischief causing damage, which occurred while the man was in lock-up.

Police herded three miniature horses found on the road in Brooklyn Corner.

A bike theft was reported in North Kentville.

A noise complaint of loud music was made in Habitant.

A gas and go was reported in Greenwood.

There was a complaint about a stolen licence plate.

Damage was reported to a front door at a Greenwich residence.

A theft complaint was made in North Kingston.

Police were alerted to a case of personal photos sent over the Internet were being used to get more photos. The Greenwood-area youth who sent the photos called in the complaint, which is being investigated.

A domestic incident involving property damage resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old man.

A case of road rage was reported in Greenwood.

Shoplifting was reported in New Minas.

At 11:06 p.m., Police responded to a call about a man uttering threats in North Kentville. The man was taken into custody and held until sober, no charges were laid.

Noise complaints were received about noisy parties on Marchant Avenue and Linden Avenue in Wolfville. The Marchant Avenue party was subsequently shut down when police returned to the scene shortly after midnight.

Several mental health calls came in. Two were related to one 17-year-old youth.

There were seven family relations incidents. Three involved custody issues. A mother in her 70s reported her inebriated 53-year-old son. Two child welfare concerns were noted.

Eight driving complaints were received. One concerned an empty truck that was wind tossed and another involved road rage.

There were collisions in North Kentville and in New Minas.

Parking lot crashes took place in Kingston, Auburn, Coldbrook and Greenwood, while a hit and run occurred in a North Kentville parking lot.

Checkpoints were set up in Berwick and Wolfville.
